Terms of Service

1. Who provides MockReps

MockReps is provided by Robert Hilge Manoj Danushka Stanley, an individual operating from Sri Lanka, trading as MockReps (“we”, “us” or “our”). “You” means the person using the service. These terms govern the website and interview-preparation application. Our operator details are below.

2. The service

MockReps provides interview-preparation tools including role-based practice, optional CV and job-description personalisation, behavioural Story Bank entries, technical workspaces and AI-generated feedback. Available modes, credit costs and paid features are described in the app and at checkout. Technical workspaces support reasoning and review; they are not represented as a secure code-execution service.

The service is intended for adults aged 18 or older. Provide accurate account information, protect your credentials and use only accounts you are authorised to access. Contact us if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. AI guidance and your judgement

AI questions, feedback and scores can be incomplete, inaccurate or unsuitable for a particular employer. They are practice guidance, not a professional recruitment assessment or a guarantee of interview success, employment or income. Review outputs using your own judgement. We do not claim affiliation with an employer unless explicitly stated.

Use MockReps to prepare before an interview. Do not use it to impersonate another person, misrepresent your experience, bypass an assessment's rules or provide undisclosed assistance where that is prohibited.

4. Your content

You retain your rights in the CV information, job descriptions, answers, stories and other content you submit. You give us permission to process that content, using the service providers described in our Privacy Policy, as needed to provide, secure and support the features you request. This permission does not transfer ownership of your content to us.

Only submit material you have a right to use. Avoid unnecessary personal data about other people, confidential employer information, unlawful material or sensitive information unrelated to interview preparation. The Privacy Policy explains handling and deletion.

Our software, branding and original site materials remain protected by applicable intellectual-property rights. Subject to these terms, you may use the service for your own interview preparation. AI outputs may resemble content generated for other users; no exclusivity or independent intellectual-property clearance is promised.

5. Credits and one-off packs

Credits are units for using supported product features. They are not currency, a deposit or a financial asset, and cannot be transferred or redeemed for cash except where a refund or applicable law requires it. The app displays applicable costs. Job-description analysis, interview sessions and reports may incur separate charges.

Purchased credit packs do not expire. Current offers are one-off purchases with no automatic renewal. Advertised practice counts describe how many standard flows the pack can fund; other credit-based features use the same balance. A standard flow includes one job-description analysis, one interview session and one feedback report, charged separately. Existing purchases keep their original entitlements. Unused credits do not by themselves establish a refund entitlement. Your mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

For paid purchases, Paddle acts as merchant of record and handles checkout, payment and transaction-related support. The Paddle entity and purchase terms shown at checkout apply to that transaction, alongside these product-use terms. Review the price, tax, billing frequency and renewal details before purchasing.

6. Renewals, cancellation and refunds

Subscriptions are not offered for new purchases. If you already hold a subscription from an earlier offer, it remains governed by its original billing terms and renews at the selected interval until cancelled through the app's billing controls, the Paddle customer portal or Paddle support. Cancellation normally stops the next renewal and takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Cancelling a subscription is different from requesting a refund or deleting an account.

See our Refund and Cancellation Policy for the available routes and applicable terms. Nothing here removes a statutory right to withdraw, obtain a remedy for defective services or dispute an unauthorised payment.

7. Acceptable use and account restrictions

Do not attempt to access other users' data, introduce malicious content, disrupt the service, circumvent security or usage limits, abuse signup credits, scrape private content or resell access without permission. Automated access must respect documented interfaces and limits.

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address abuse, security risks, unlawful use or payment disputes. Where practical and lawful, we will explain the reason and how to contact us. Contact support if you believe a restriction is mistaken. Mandatory refund and consumer rights continue to apply.

8. Availability and changes

The service may be interrupted by maintenance, failures or third-party outages. There is no contractual uptime guarantee unless separately agreed. Report missing paid access or persistent defects so they can be investigated. We will not use this paragraph to exclude remedies required by law.

We may update the service and these terms. Material changes affecting existing users or paid subscriptions will be communicated with notice appropriate to the change and applicable law. Price changes are not applied retrospectively to completed purchases. The effective version and date will be identified on this page.

9. Responsibility and disputes

We remain responsible to the extent required by applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer guarantees. We do not promise a particular employment outcome or accept responsibility for decisions made solely on AI feedback where the law permits that distinction.

The laws of Sri Lanka govern these product-use terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. This does not remove mandatory protections or rights to bring proceedings available to consumers in their country of residence. Paddle's purchase terms identify the rules applicable to the payment transaction. Contact us first if a product issue or dispute arises.

10. If the operator changes

If MockReps transfers to a company or another operator, we will update the operator and privacy information and provide any notice or obtain any consent required by applicable law. Existing consumer rights and commitments are not removed by a change of operator.
